Artist Statement

​

I graduated with a degree in Textile Design from the Central School of Art and Design in London and worked as a professional designer for many years. After graduating, I worked for the Tickled Pink textile design studio in London for six years and then as a freelance designer for a further ten years selling designs for printed textiles in Paris, Milan, Tokyo and New York.

In recent years I have devoted my creative energies to painting and drawing using the human figure, with an emphasis on symbolism and fantasy, as an important part of my compositions. My current paintings tell a story which starts with the interaction between characters and the spirit of nature.

​

I have exhibited at the Salamander Gallery, Westerham; the 618 Gallery, Croydon; Gallery 238, Dorking; Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking and Art @ Clyde & Co, Guildford.
